Product Information >> Call Center Equipment
When setting up or restocking a call center, equipment is vital. You can't keep your reps on the phone if their equipment goes down; so stocking replacement parts and accessories is a good way of making sure that you are never without the equipment you need. That way, if something breaks or stops working well, you can fix it or replace it immediately.
Stocking Call Center Equipment
For a small or just-starting center with under 100 chairs, it is often financially preferable to keep only a few spare parts in stock. Keep between one and three entire extra phone units on hand in case of a breakdown and about a dozen replacement cords and voice tubes. These are the parts most likely to breakdown or create problems, and this way you can simply swap in a new phone and headset unit to get the call rep back online, and then have your technicians repair the damaged phone.
Voice tubes are especially good to have on hand. The moisture and humidity in the air, as well as that created by simply speaking into them will affect the tube's performance over time. As more moisture gets into the tube, the sound of the voice becomes more fuzzy and muffled. A regular replacement schedule of voice tubes will keep your call reps sounding great.
It's also a good idea to keep a few hundred mic and earpiece covers on hand--the foam in these can tear easily when reps pull on or take off their headsets, and regular replacement also helps keep the call center free of germs and contaminants.
